Ed Reid brings a rare combination of financial discipline, strategic leadership, and hands-on construction experience to every project at CMA Builders. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, Ed began his career in the derivatives and futures markets, serving as a member of the American Stock Exchange, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange, and Chicago Board of Trade.
After co-founding Wellington Capital Markets and managing proprietary capital for two decades, he transitioned into real estate investment, development, and the building trades.

Prior to CMA Builders, Ed owned and operated Celtic Commercial Painting, a Chicago-based commercial painting company, where he developed hands-on field experience that continues to shape his practical, detail-driven approach to construction.
Over the past 14 years, Ed has built and rehabilitated approximately one hundred fifty homes, townhomes, and condominiums, with projects ranging from six hundred thousand to over two million dollars. His work has spanned communities throughout the greater Chicago area and into Tennessee, and today his focus is centered on serving clients in Clarendon Hills and Hinsdale.
Community Roots
A twenty-seven year resident of the Hinsdale area and father of three, Ed has maintained long-term involvement in the community — having been a youth coach for Little League baseball, soccer, football, and basketball, active in the Notre Dame Parish, and previously serving on the Clarendon Hills Village Board.
